Map and place data

Map data and place search results © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence 1.0. Place search uses the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. Where we publish a database derived from OpenStreetMap data (for example place names and coordinates used as route suggestions) that derived database is offered under the ODbL as well, and we keep the attribution with it.

Maps on iOS are drawn by Apple Maps; on Android by Google Maps (Additional Terms, Privacy Policy).

Place descriptions

Some place descriptions are adapted from Wikipedia articles by Wikipedia contributors and are available under CC BY-SA 4.0; the source article is named under each such description in the app. They have been shortened and reworded for the app. Structured facts come from Wikidata (CC0).

Photographs

The photographs on this site and in the example screens come from Wikimedia Commons. Each is credited to its author below with its licence. We cropped and resized them to fit the layouts, and nothing else was changed. The cropped images as used here are made available under the same licence as the original; they are not the property of GuideField, and the rest of the screens and this site are not covered by those licences. The licence terms are linked from each Commons page. People and organisations shown in the screens are fictional.
